Clematis seedling displays first flower in captivity
I transplanted several Clematis seedlings to a terrarium last winter to let them grow larger while being able to observe them. One of those bloomed this week. The seed is from the British Clematis Society - a herbaceous mix. I am told on the Gardenbuddies Clematis forum that it is likely a Clematis crispa.
I am amazed at how small it is and so perfect. Less than an inch either way.The remaining plant is a Clematis cirrhosa and it is growing like mad but no sign of buds so far.
