Some summer updates

Well the berry season is upon us and we have been picking what was available in our yard.

Sour Cherries

Nanking Cherries

Raspberries

There may be more to come but the birds have gotten so many things already - all the Blue Honeysuckle, Pincherries, Currants!

Well it is midsummer and things are busy!

Well my blog is a mess these days! Somehow I lost the original format/template and now things are askew! I just don't get here often enough any more but I see people still drop by so I am going to give a little report on gardening this summer.

Lilies - I lost about a 60 - 80 lilies, mostly trumpets, a year ago when I dug them and did not get them back in the ground. Now there is a new field with about 100 hills and for the most part they are seedlings.

Clematis - The atragene group bloomed early and then there are still some like the fremontii, mandshurica and even Joe Zary still blooming now.

Day lilies - I potted up about 20 seedlings from many years back that had been growing in a clump and they are starting to bloom. Others like Lemon Lily -Hemerocallis flava bloomed very early but others are coming now. Not many pictures as most are on my tablet or phone!

There were also many Columbines and potted plants which bloomed along with stray Johnny Jump Ups and other. Will try to get another post up soon.

No Blue Honeysuckles the Cedar Waxwings cleaned them out.
