This week it's Clematis

So I did a series of pictures using my hand as a measure for Clematis blossoms. These are all seedlings except for Joe Zary and Pink Flamingo which will be noted. Enjoy the variety. Still a few more coming and some are done unless they do a summer rebloom!

Columbine Feast

McKana Giant Mixed
Though a number of my Columbines succumbed to the weird spring weather there are still many (Most whose tag is gone) blooming in this season. Some are nearly stripped of their leaves from insect damage but some are still amazing. These are all seedlings and add such color to our whole yard. I realized I missed some Nora Barlow seedlings as well. Please read down to the end for some random pictures taken in the brief sunlight yesterday afternoon.

This is my last swallowtail plant that looks ok. The rest have died or been crunched by bugs!

So here are some random shoots around the garden.

 Lilium dauricum
 Count the Bumble Bees!

A species daylily which I need to search out in my records. It has a more orange tone than this photo shows. Probably Hemerocallis middendorffii Here is a great source for Daylily information.

Whew!!

Clematis seedling display

I have about 60 Clematis seedlings from various sources and here is a look at some of them.

This is an amazing Clematis which the pictures, this and following, do not do justice to!

 Another beauty.

Since my arm is nearly back I plan to do a better display of pictures in the next couple of weeks.
