There is a new post over on my Lily page. We visited Honeywood Heritage Nursery and took some end of season pictures. Also a few pictures of a new lily to me here at home.
Be sure to check the link in my Sites I visit to my friend Sheryl Gallant (Providence Acres) and her husband who are having a very neat adventure! Also check out her artist page.
Last Friday we had the pleasure of going for a ride on "The Prairie Lily" - speaking of lilies! This riverboat is operated by Shearwater Properties Limited and is new to the Saskatoon scene this spring. Our neighbors had their 2 grandchildren here for vacation so the six of us did the one hour cruise up river and back to the Mendel Art Gallery dock. It really was a nice trip with a view of some of the historic and new developments along the river front. Supper followed at Fuddruckers Restaurant. One of the best not too fast food places in Saskatoon.
This is not a paddle-wheeler but it cruises quietly along the river twice a day and you can book it for events. A very enjoyable trip.
Unil next time!

Nipawin, Codette and other places
We did the annual or so trip to Nipawin which is my home territory having been born in Nipawin and lived west of Codette till leaving high school. By now the old farm yard is cleaned up although I did notice a roof at the far back (we never got out of the car); just took a look around. We did stop at the old community church and were pleasantly surprised that it was well kept up and quite clean inside. Here is a look!
All in all a good day!

The trip was a very pleasant one and I think we did touch most of the high spots including the Nipawin Regional Park. Our daughter-in-law's family know the owners of Venice House in Nipawin so we had our noon meal there and it was very good. We also made a stop at the Mabel Hill Cemetery The trip home was through Tisdale and Melfort, then over to Rosthern and home. Of course it required a stop at the Tim Horton's in Melfort. All in all a good day!

Random flowers and stuff...............................
Well I just finished 9 days working days and I am glad to be home during the day to get a few things done. Of course it is raining so no outdoors stuff and and a good time to do a new post here. There are so many things of interest as the flowers bloom and fruit ripens here and there throughout the yard. And the grass grows too fast and the weeds too numerous! Yikes!
