So many things blooming - too many to record!

Well over the last number of days I have been taking pictures as I roam around our 5 acre (approx 2 hectare) yard and it is a amazing what all is blooming. Chokecherries, pincherries, saskatoons, Nanking Cherries, crabapples, apples, wild pear, currants and strawberries for sure! And then there are all the flowers as well. So far Tulips, Irises, Anemones, Violas and Pansies, Hepatica (the very first), Columbine, Daylilies and now the first Clematis are beginning. The next several weeks will be a great display of colors. Many of the Clematis are seedlings as are the Columbine and later in the season will be lilies. Here is a little gallery of the flowers so far. Hepaticas are the above right.

Doesn't it just lift your spirits? We seem to have waited sooooo long here on the Prairies!

It really is a great time. It is always exciting here as I grow so many things from seed and you just cannot predict what open crosses might have produced.
